At Hells'Kitchen Neighborhood
This year, you can't miss the 39th edition of the Ninth Avenue International Food Festival. This festival takes place every year the weekend after Mother's Day at Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. From 42nd st to 57th st, Ninth Ave closes to cars and the festival takes over. It's unique and amazing, celebrating the joys of ethnicity through food, entertainment and every kind of street fair stall. There will be also a stage with live music and dance at 55th street on Sunday.
Este año, no os podéis perder la 39 edición del Festival Gastronómico de la 9ª Avenida, que se celebra anualmente la tercera semana de Mayo en Manhattan. Entre las calles 42 y 57, los restaurantes del vecindario de Hell's Kitchen participan de esta celebración, incluyendo un escenario con música en vivo en la calle 55.
Este año, no os podéis perder la 39 edición del Festival Gastronómico de la 9ª Avenida, que se celebra anualmente la tercera semana de Mayo en Manhattan. Podéis acudir de manera gratuita de 12 a 5 de la tarde. Además, para las mamas, los niños podrán disfrutar de una zona especial para ellos. No os lo podéis perder!! Es una forma de fomentar la globalización y enseñar a nuestros hijos de una manera divertida!
¿Cuál es el origen de esta fiesta? La asociación de vecinos de uno de los barrios más diversificados de la isla, se reúne todos los años desde 1973, para dar a conocer los establecimientos de la zona y asignar todos los fondos recaudados a programas comunitarios para colaborar en las necesidades del barrio. Puede ser muy buen plan para disfrutar de un fin de semana gastronómico por las calles de NYC, y descubrir uno de los barrios más ocultos de la ciudad. Allí nos vemos!!
There is no admission fee. It starts about 12 pm until 5 pm. There are games and fun activities for kids, there will be also a children's pavillion on 53rd&54th St. specially for them! It is the moment of developing globalization concept in our children in a funny way!The Ninth Avenue Association was formed in 1973 in order to bring attention to New York's most diverse and interesting ethnic neighborhood. This event gives the opportunity to raise additional funds. Every year, profits from the Festival go back into the neighborhood community programs, scholarship, holiday giveaway to needy families and churches. This could be a very good idea to enjoy a weekend in NYC, discovering one of the most unknown district of the big apple. See you there!!
